Reasoning and Acting (ReAct)
Module: agentic
What it is
ReAct (Reasoning and Acting) is a pattern where agents alternate between reasoning about what to do and taking action. The agent thinks through the situation, takes an action, observes the result, reasons about what to do next, and repeats. This interleaved approach improves decision-making.
Why it matters
ReAct is a foundational pattern for how modern agents work. The explicit reasoning steps make agent behaviour more interpretable and often more effective. Understanding ReAct helps you follow agent decision-making and debug when things go wrong.
