What it is

A conversation or thread is a series of exchanges with an AI that share context. Messages within a conversation build on each other—the AI remembers what was discussed earlier. Starting a new conversation clears this context and begins fresh.

Why it matters

Conversation management affects your results. Long conversations maintain context but can become unwieldy. Starting fresh removes assumptions that might not apply. For new, unrelated topics, start a new conversation. For ongoing projects, continuing a thread preserves helpful context.
