What it is

Browser agents are AI systems that can navigate and interact with websites—clicking links, filling forms, extracting information, completing transactions. They see web pages and interact with them, enabling automation of any web-based task.

Why it matters

Huge amounts of work happen in web browsers. Browser agents can research, shop, fill out forms, gather data, and complete workflows across websites. They enable automation of tasks that currently require a human sitting at a browser.
