Agent-to-Agent Protocol
Module: agentic
What it is
Agent-to-Agent (A2A) Protocol, also called inter-agent communication, refers to standards for AI agents to communicate with each other. This enables multi-agent systems where specialised agents collaborate, delegate tasks, and coordinate their actions.
Why it matters
As agents become more capable, they'll increasingly work together. A research agent might hand off to a writing agent, which hands off to a design agent. Protocols for agent communication enable this collaboration and are becoming important for complex agent systems.
